Below is a document that I was shown during my deposition in my case against franklin had been moved to the Federal Court. They asked me if I had seen this document from my chair. Except it had not yet been created when I was injured. When you go to this url you will see this document. They use WordPress If you go to wayback machine you will see they did a major update on their site.  They gave me this document that this chair was at 275lb. they also called is the wall hugger. Page 3 — Limited Warranty terms:

• Stationary & Reclining Furniture: Limited Lifetime Warranty on Seat Foam, Wooden Frame Parts, Reclining Mechanism, All Other Metal Components. One Year Warranty on Electronics, Fabrics, All Other Components.
• Lift Chairs: Three Year Limited Warranty on Mechanism/Lift Frame. One Year Warranty on Electronics, Fabrics, All Other Components.
• Fabric exclusions: pilling, fading, shrinking, dye lot variations, tears, scratching, fraying, stretching, wearing/flattening of nap, and damage from "abuse, neglect, exposure to extreme temperatures or pet damage" are all explicitly excluded.

Page 4 — Limitations on Warranty (critical page):

1. Original purchaser only, non-transferable
2. Not for rental/commercial/institutional use
3. Limited to one-time replacement; shipping and handling costs are not included
4. Replacement dye lots may not match
5. Damage/improper use/abuse after sale voids all warranties
6. "Exceeding weight capacity of 275 lbs will void warranty." ← the specific clause at issue in your case
7. Does not apply to closeouts/discontinued merchandise

Franklin's Obligation: repair or replace at Franklin's discretion; packing/shipping costs to and from the factory are not covered; non-repairable items are prorated based on original purchase date (not replaced outright).

• Item 14 restates: "Do not exceed recommended weight limit of 275 lbs."
• Item 3: "Never sit on the ottoman (foot rest) when open"
• Item 5: "Use caution in operating the reclining mechanism when small children and pets are present"
• Item 7: "Keep hands and feet clear of the reclining mechanism before operating"
• No mention anywhere of adult entrapment risk specifically — only child/pet caution language

• "50,000 square foot factory dedicated to manufacturing our own exclusively-designed reclining mechanisms"
• "Our facilities are vertically integrated using CNC technology in all woodworking and foam fabrication" — this directly contradicts nothing we've found (CNC is genuinely used for wood/foam), but "vertically integrated" as a phrase overstates the reality given confirmed Chinese-sourced switch/motor/power supply and metal components
